The California Department of Developmental Services provides support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and related conditions. Regional Centers provide a diagnosis and assessment of eligibility, and help individuals access, coordinate, and monitor the services available to them.

LAFLA provides assistance to individuals who need help applying for government benefits as well as individuals who have been wrongly denied benefits. LAFLA staff can help with the following programs: CalWORKS, Foster Care, Medi-Cal, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), CAPI (State Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants), CalFresh (food stamps), In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), and General Relief.
