Beat the Heat Sports Camp Presented by Casa Colina Outdoor Adventures and Wheelchair Sports Program – May 31, 2025

Casa Colina’s Beat the Heat sports camp provides adaptive recreation and sports activities for people with disabilities. This unique camp gives first-time and returning participants the opportunity to build community through challenging sports and exhilarating outdoor activities, including outrigger canoeing, kayaking, wheelchair tennis, basketball, rugby, sailing, and more.

Wheelchair Sports Festival

Join us at Triumph’s 12th Annual Wheelchair Sports Festival on April 26-27, 2025 in Santa Clarita. Triumph Foundation hosts this FREE event to introduce wheelchair sports to people that are newly injured, Veterans, children, and others with disabilities.

Our goal is to introduce wheelchair sports to more people, increase inclusiveness and awareness of people living with disabilities in the community, and have FUN!

Featuring wheelchair hockey, basketball, quad rugby, tennis, racquetball, baseball, scuba, Rohan rodeo, WCMX, art workshop, resource fair, and more!

We will have an extra 30+ sports wheelchairs for people to use, plus coaches and instructors to teach you how to play the games. Did we mention that it’s free?  Just show up!

Saturday:  Registration begins at 8:30am. Opening Ceremonies at 9:00am.  Ends at 5pm

Sunday:  Registration begins at 8:30am. Games start at 9:00am.  Closing Ceremony & Awards at 2pm.

The Wheelchair Sports Festival brings everyone together of all abilities – able body and disabled alike – to take part in a weekend of games and activities.  Push the Limits of Your Ability!

Youth Camp: If you are under the age of 16, use a wheelchair (or have a mobility impairment) and want to experience our event with other kids and families, you can register for Youth Camp. You will get a SPECIAL chaperoned tour of the event, designated time to play each sport, and have lots of FUN.

Limited to first 12 to sign up.

ALL Persons under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the premises and participating in Triumph Foundation’s Wheelchair Sports Festival in all it’s activities.

Triumph Foundation is one of the most impactful organizations in the country providing direct assistance to those living with Paralysis. Thrive Adaptive will have the honor and privilege of providing first-aid medical support to the participants of all abilities throughout their annual 5K fundraiser in Irvine, including more than 50 athletes with disabilities.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to help dozens of athletes of all abilities ride the waves in La Jolla. Throughout the day, varying roles from land support to shallow and deep water will be available.

April 27 & 28 Triumph Foundation Adaptive Sports Festival | Santa Clarita

Medical volunteers needed: Thrive Adaptive is thrilled to support the Triumph Foundation Adaptive Sports Festival, April 27-28 at the Santa Clarita Recreation Centre.

Join us for one of the largest events of the year as more than 1,000 athletes of all abilities will join for a weekend of inclusive fun featuring more than 30 adapted sports ranging from WCMX to beep baseball and the legendary wheelchair obstacle course.

Angel City Sports Youth Weekend

The 2024 Angel City Sports Youth Weekend is a two-day event introducing kids from ages 18 & under to adaptive sports and a celebration of what is possible. This year we feature 8+ adaptive sport clinics across 2 days. By the end of the weekend, all participants will be able to compete!

Wheelchair Basketball Practice with Angel City Sports

Join us to learn wheelchair basketball and sharpen your skills!  We will have an open gym with various basketball skills and drills led by experienced coaches from the Angel City Sports Wheelchair Basketball Program.

This is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels, beginner to advanced!  You may bring your own sports chair or use one from Angel City Sports.  Sign up at the following link and be ready to ball!

LuskinOIC Cerebral Palsy Summer Camp

Join the LuskinOIC Summer Camp for children with CP. In partnership with Angel City Sports and Paralympian Laura Goodkind. Children will enjoy a unique experience catered for first time athletes and community building, feature arts, crafts sports clinics and more.
