The Durable Medical Equipment Aid Society offers in-home mobility and bath care durable medical equipment to individuals lacking the insurance or financial resources required to aid in their daily living or recovery from an illness or injury.

The College 2 Career Program offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to experience student housing and college life with academic support. Students create and implement an educational plan based on the their desired educational and employment goals.

SCLARC provides specialized services for individuals ages 3-21 and 22 and older with developmental disabilities including respite, personal assistance, community integration, behavior intervention, educational supports, advocacy, employment training and crisis response.

El ARCA offers roundtrip rides throughout Los Angeles County for eligible program participants with developmental disabilities and mobility concerns.

The Adult Day Support Center (ADSC) provides services to adults with severely profound developmental disabilities who are not ready for work activity centers or other ongoing day programs. Clients receive motor skills therapy and participate in activities that build daily living, social, and recreation skills.

The Traditional Legal Assistance Program provides a lawyer whose services include consultation at senior center sites, in-home consultations with individuals confined to the home, and monthly community legal education seminars at selected sites.

MERCI has two group homes, Ernie’s Place and John & Mary’s Place, for individuals with disabilities, including non ambulatory residents. Residents get their own rooms and 24 hour care.

JFS’ Home Delivered Meal program provides home-bound seniors and people with diverse abilities with meals. You can receive either a hot meal each day or a week’s worth of frozen meals.

Exceptional Children’s Foundation offers job training for adults with disabilities. Participants learn specific job tasks, as well as appropriate work habits and social skills, and work readiness, with supportive employment and guidance.

SCIL offers assistance applying for Social Security benefits and filing appeals.

Montebello Adult Community School offers free classes for adults with disabilities on topics such as reading, writing, time management, money, sign language, computers, math, arts and crafts, and social skills.

Community House Sylmar provides individuals with disabilities who are experiencing homelessness a temporary safe and stable place to sleep while they secure their permanent housing.

AbilityFirst provides career services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Services include job search assistance, resume and cover letter training, application and assessment help, interview skill preparation, and job coaching.

Dial-A-Ride para-transit service provides curb-to-curb service for seniors and people with a disability for trips within 10 miles of City Hall. Rides can be used for services such as to visit a friend or relative, go to a movie, visit the doctor, hair salon, or go shopping.

InClusion Services’ Adult Day Program (ADP) provides training and daily care for adults with developmental disabilities, including teaching participants how to socialize safely, express appropriate behavior and set personal boundaries.

InClusion Services’ Adult Day Program (ADP) provides structured daily care for adults with developmental disabilities. The program provides structured full-day services and instructions to increase independence.

Salvation Army Glendale Meals on Wheels delivers daily meals on weekdays to people who are housebound.

Dial-A-Ride picks up and drops off riders to and from a destination within 10 miles of city limits for medical appointments.

InClusion Services’ Adult Day Program (ADP) provides assistance for adults with developmental disabilities, including helping participants learn money management, in addition to strengthening daily skills needed to promote independence.

MERCI offers a Developmental Day Center to help teach essential skills in the areas of self-care/grooming, socialization, recreation, plus pre-vocational/vocational training to individuals with disabilities. Due to Covid, some services may be remote.
