REACH provides speech and language therapy by certified staff. Sessions last from 30 to 50 minutes and can include speech therapy, oral motor therapy, language development, use of FC and fading, as well as coaching of communication partners.

Disabled Resource Center of Long Beach’s Independent Living Skills programs offers workshops, classes, counseling, support groups, and more to help people with disabilities live independantly.

Disabled Resources Center, Inc. will provide an educational presentation that will help guide you through Disaster Preparedness. They can help you create a personal emergency plan.

Disabled Resource Center of Long Beach provides computer classes for people with disabilities and seniors.

Salvation Army Meals on Wheels delivers daily meals to people who are homebound.

The Aging and Disabilities Department offers an online search tool to help individuals find services and activities offered at various Los Angeles County Community and Senior Centers.

Joyful Adult Day Health Care center provides a combination of 24/7 nursing, Psychosocial, OT/PT, dietary and daily activities to participants.

Harbor Family Resource Centers provides information and links for support groups in the area. These support groups offer presentations, discussions, and the opportunity to get to know other parents and families that have children with disabilities.

Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) provides services to improve quality of life and maintain independence of seniors and residents with disabilities in Beach Cities. Services include errand assistance, in home exercise, and companionship.

The Supported Employment Program helps individuals with disabilities ages 16 and above with job training, career assessment, and resume development. SEEK also has community resource specialists to help match each individual to a business site based on their needs and skill set.

The Mikkon Adult Day Health Care provides medical and social service support, physical and speech therapy, nursing, psychiatric/psychological services activities and more for frail elder and disabled individuals.

Bet Tzedek offers free legal services for child guardians and conservators. The purpose is to help keep children with their families, or help individuals with disabilities avoid institutionalization.

Meals on Wheels of Long Beach provides home-delivered nutritionally balanced meals for Long Beach area residents, on a long-term or temporary basis. Meals deliveries include a hot dinner, cold lunch, dessert, and beverage.

The Giant Steps Community Integration Day Program provides community based group trainings and activities where individuals are able to explore their local communities through volunteering, sports, and computer training. Transportation is provided.

Foothill Transit offers discounted transit fares for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and individuals with Medicare.

CDI provides therapy and developmental services for children age 5 and younger struggling with sleeping, eating, bathing, self care, coordinating body movements, interacting with others or exploring and playing. CDI offers occupational and physical therapy and will create an individual plan for each child.
